Wecheer is seeking a skilled Legal Consultant starting Mid-May, for 7 weeks or possibly longer (hours may vary), to support the review and refinement of commercial contracts, particularly Master Service Agreements (MSAs), during a period of contract optimization.
This project-based role is ideal for a legal professional who combines contract law precision with commercial awareness, and can operate independently while aligning closely with internal stakeholders across departments.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- Review, redline, and improve MSA templates and client-specific commercial contracts
- Identify potential legal, operational, and commercial risks within contractual clauses
- Propose actionable solutions and alternatives that are both protective and pragmatic
- Align closely with business teams to ensure contracts meet legal standards and operational realities
- Ensure clarity, consistency, and enforceability in contract language
✅ Key Skills & Experience
- Strong background in contract law and international commercial agreements
- Ability to analyze and draft contracts with precision
- Skilled in identifying legal risk and articulating trade-offs
- High commercial sensitivity: knows when to push and when to adapt
- Excellent written English; ability to explain complex legal points clearly
🙌 Ideal Profile
- 5–10+ years of experience in roles like Legal Counsel, Contract Coordinator, Paralegal, or Legal Consultant
- Experience working in international or cross-border contract contexts
- Comfortable working independently and asynchronously across time zones
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Bonus: familiarity with fast-paced, tech-enabled or startup environments
